Up to now, the province has established 26 industrial clusters with a total area of 626 ha; attracted 528 enterprises and business opportunities with a total capital of VND 6,600 billion, attracting 23,000 employees. In addition, Nam Dinh currently has 142 craft villages distributed in all districts and cities.

In addition to the achievements, the development of businesses and entrepreneurs in Nam Dinh in the period 2011-2021 still has existing difficulties such as the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic causing difficulties for businesses, especially with small and medium enterprises. Most enterprises in the province are small in scale, lacking a long-term strategy, and have not been proactive in asking for legal support; low capital absorption capacity; low technology level, difficulties in the 4.0 integration process.
